UPDATED: APR 23, 2012 Cask, handpump @ The Powder Monkey JDW, Exmouth, Devon. Produced a sunny orange gold, not quite bright with a tight, compact white crown that lasts with minimal lace. Lots of fruit on the nose; tangerine, guava, lychee, caramelised apricots and pears, doughy, sweet and shrouded with notes of rose water, sultry. Good lot of soft, plump fruits in the mouth, an extension of the nose. Hops shine, the back end is bitter, weedy, a lot of rocket leaf, stinging nettle, vine-clippings coming through along with a tangy burst of citrus and stonefruit. The body is light but builds as it warms, a little tickle of residual carbonation gives it bounce. Amazingly dry on the finish, floral and zesty, gets the saliva glands working. Long drawn out hoppy finish. This is lovely stuff. I could drink this all afternoon no problem at all. Delicious.
