Mid brown smooth bitter with English hops.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/03/2011. Medium brown with a decent, off-white head. Malty bitter with some decent fruitiness, touch of caramel and pleasantly bitter finish. Good.

Cask Conditioned handpump Vat and Fiddle Nottingham. A chestnut coloured beer with a whitish head. A malty beer with fruit and nuts in the aroma. Chewy in the mouth and very dry. A change from the norm for Castle Rock but still pretty decent.

Cask handpull, The Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham. Chestnut with hints of copper, nitro-white slick. Orange, oak, slight choc aroma. Sloppy orange and choc swirling about, nut husk, digestives. Empty. Dull hot plastic and herbal hop. Just another Castle Rock beer ticked.
