Cast in various Nottingham pubs. Pours pale gold. Aroma is grassy with hints of lemon and grapefruit. Slight lemony flavour with low bitterness. A good steady option if there’s nothing more exciting on the menu.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2015 Sampled on draught at the John Baird, Muswell Hill. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma of malt and gentle hints of citrus. The palette is remarkably full, considering this is only 3.8%. Taste has mild citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit with hints of pine and honey. A really nice, well-balanced and tasty light blond beer.

Fairly standard low gravity citrus pale bitter. Refreshing in summer but rather thin for year round drinking. Reasonable but not a favourite.

Cask @ Clarence Hotel, New Brighton [120615]
Blonde, soft haze, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft citrus, some dull lemon
Taste of soft citrus zest, light lemon, soft pale malts, some creamy malts
Palate - Medium light body, light creamy, soft sweet, soft bitter zest. Finish as main flavour, creamy, slight bitter minerals in linger I’m not keen on
Overall - Quite creamy this golden ale. Better than the bottled version.

Towey1989 (1907) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2015
Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, some grapefruit, slight honey, cereal and grassy hops. Taste of more lemon, grapefruit, some cereal, a little resin and grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A bittersweet grassy finish with subtle honey. A very flavourful golden ale for its strength, decent body and really well balanced. Nothing wrong with this, great.
