Cask Stillage at the Intake Club, Mansfield 12/04/2008 Fruit and some roast aromas. Dark red coloured smooth and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter lasting roast finish.

Cask at the Canalhouse, Nottingham. This is another of Castle Rock’s monthly wildlife-themed beers which I wish they would add to their regular portfolio. This enjoyable stout tastes stronger than its 4.5% ABV. It’s rich and smoky with a touch of alcohol flavour. I’ve had quite a few stouts and porters recently on Nottingham’s "Stout & Porter Stroll"; this was one of the best.
