Cask (stillage) at Oakdale Arms Beer Festival, April 2006. Attractive copper colour with a thin white head. Started off well with a most pronounced herbaceous hop aroma. On the palate its all citric hops with a dry finish. However, the mouthfeel was rather soft and the overall effect was a touch too lightweight. Like the Milton Sparta I had just before, this is a decent quaffing beer that doesn’t encourage too much analysis but does what it does perfectly well.

Cask@The Oakdale Arms, North London. Lightly buttery/caramelly sweetness. Light citric hop notes in the finish. Got some marmaladey characters and tea-like hops. Dry finish. A bit thin.
