Cask at The Clarence, Mayfair. copper color with a white head and lacing. lemony aroma and caramel hints. The name sounds like nipple.

Whoever the sheriff is he’s not going to be overly happy with his tipple. Those are the breaks I guess.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden brown, thin white head; dry bitterness, a little fruit; not much to speak of; a very tired cask and the epitome of a badly served boring bitter (courtesy of the Scott Arms, Kingston).

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On cask @ the Haymarket Bar, Edinburgh. I’m very aware that this beer may not have been served in the best condition. The appearance was as expected but there was a hint of sour apple (unpleasant) and apart from that no other fruit character from the hops. The taste is no more exciting. I am not giving this as low a mark as my experience suggests as I will need to re-try on another occasion.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned at The Crown, Oxford. Amber with white head. Quite a simple boys bitter, fairly thinnish but with a greenish grainy maltiness and an easy, leafy hop flavour. It’s ok for a quaffing type beer.
Earlier Rating: 9/5/2010 Total Score: 2.8
Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at Harbury Beer Fest ’10. Gold to amber with white head. This tasted a little undeveloped, there is a raw greengage note, floral and perfumed, dryish and a bit green. Not that enjoyable.

On cask at Wyke Lion, Bradford - Amber body, thick white head. Good malt base and not too sweet. Quite tasty for a low ABV - a good session beer.
