maybe it's the queensland heat getting to me but i enjoyed this a lot more than i expected. quite luscious vanilla mango malt. zero hops but that still beats pride of ringwood. full-bodied for a midstrength

Can purchased in Ireland. Pours clear orange body. Aroma is light malt. Flavor is nothing. Bland, boring, no alcohol?? LAME brew.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 ALLOVATE (1708) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2005 Nothing much going on here. Pours a pale gold, clear, with a Houdini-head. Little aroma bar some ’tinny’ dank liquor and a little malt. Similar in the mouth, watery thin, gassy and marred by cardboard malt tones. I don’t think Lion Nathan care much for the level of intelligence the beer drinking public in Australia possess, because this was awful. Bland and forgettable.

Why call a beer like this a Sovereign Superior Lager when it is a mid-strength piece of piss? No more to say.

Still not sure what the point of mid-strength beer is. This is the 1st premium mid-strength I have had, and definitely the best.
