Could see where this beer might be refreshing on a 100 plus day but mostly just gross. has almost no redeeming value other than an alcohol delivery system.

(bottle) pale gold, moderate white head, no lace. Faint malt aroma. Thin. Light lager/malt flavor, hint of a metallic aftertaste.

Iíd drink this over the XXXX Bitter any day of the week, and for a mainstream low ABV beer itís not a total disaster. Darkish golden hue; very safe looking. Non-descript stale malts and adjunct nose. Er...not much else. Similar to taste although as expected not much malt or flavour weight. Quite crip and dry, probably a good approach given itís mid-strength intentions, and an ok mild sliver of bitterness to finish.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Yellow with significant white head that soon dissipitates. Neutral aroma. On thin side, bit goes down easy. Not much taste and long metallic finish.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Golden straw colour. Frothy white head which rapidly disappears although it left a little lacing on the way. Rather thin bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet, with a lightly bitter finish. All up itís rather boring but there are worse macro lagers out there.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2007 Mildly malty with corn to the nose. Clear, golden body with medium carbonation and thick bubbly head / decent lace. Flavor is malty and well hopped, however corn aftertaste dominates and leaves slightly astringent feeling. Watery, artificial palate. Better than I was expecting, but not as good as I would like.

The UK version tastes like 3 shades of sh*t however the Queensland version is slightly better but not great. As far as local midstrengths go it dominates the market and is one of the better ones out there, hardly world class. Dont be seen drinking it in public, enjoy it with a select few friends on a hot afternoon

Can from the LCBO
Pours a pale straw colored lager with a flaccid white cap that collases quickly...only light lacing.
Aroma of sweet rice and cardboard
Taste is bland and fizzy with light malts but mostly dextrine sweetness...clean finish, no off tastes just a boring adjunct bland lager with a watery weak character and an annoying dextrin sweet after taste.
It pains me Dogfish head 60 Min. IPA was rejected this summer so we could enjoy bland adjuct lagers like this...with a far too pricey tag for what you get...I wonít go back for more...this is the Miller Genuine Draft of OZ.
