500 ml can, named "Castlemaine XXXX Draught Lager", brewed under license in the UK by Interbrew. ABV was 4.0%. Drank it ice cold, like the Aussies prefer it. Pale golden colour, moderate head. Weak sweetish aroma. Little taste at all, just a hint of boiled vegetables and a faint bitterness. Better than water.

Golden with small white head. Aroma softly hoppy and fruity. Mouthfeel is creamy. Flavor malt with hints of hops. Finishes quickly and watery.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2007 July, 2003 On Tap, World Of Rhythm beer tent, Hitchin Park, Herts. Lovely day strolling through Hitchin, listening to musicians from around the world, and drinking this soft, creamy textured, maltless and hop(e)less beverage. I wouldn’t give a Castlemaine XXXX for anything else. Except maybe a beer. [1.0]
Aug, 2006Can. There’s a gentle sweetness here. Some soft citric notes. Lots of carbonation. Hints of chocolate. Not a lot happening, but what there is is perfectly acceptable. Inoffensive at worse, delicate and not unattractive flavours at best. [1.6]
June, 2007 Can It’s mainly frothy and inoffensive. The taste is light, with no off flavours. Very faint, soft fruit notes with a suggestion of citric. Lemon? It’s drinkable and refreshing, but totally lacking in character and offers nothing interesting or pleasurable. [1.4]

Looks nice but tastes like beer flvoured water!
