3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (6207) - Tallinn, - JUN 28, 2010
1000l bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Kölsch Days 2010)
slightly sour aroma, but liquoricy roasted malts too. Dry palate, loads of nut papers in the taste, which points to it being too overaged. Fullish palate, smooth as well. Finish very nutty, maybe I’m being charitable and ignoring the oxidising flaws, but I do enjoy this.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is a bit dull, but wooden, mild syrupy, some mild earthyness as well. Flavour is quite much the same. A quite pleasant thing.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mjs (2997) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 28, 2010
(Bottle at One Pint Pub) Poured brown and clear. Head was quite large, white and it lasted a moment. Aroma contained roastedness, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, oxidisation, hops, roastedness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Too long time between the bottling and serving, unfortunately.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pivnizub (7229) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2006
On draught at the brewpub: Amber coloured, fluffy off-white head; yeasty "green" nose with a light maltiness and a distinctive hoppiness; stronger bitter flavour, robust bitter finish with some caramelly traces. Much of a german Pils, less of a Dunkel in this brew.....................
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 25, 2005
(1000ml swing top bottle) Almost clear reddish brown colour with a big and slowly lacing, slightly off-white foamy head. Medium sweet aroma of toasted malts with a touch of caramel and a floral (hoppy) note. Moderately sweet and malty taste, also with caramel and a hint of milk chocolate. Light to medium bodied and carbonated, but quite crispy mouthfeel. Rather thin, slightly sweet malty and hoppy finish. Decent German brewpub Dunkel.
