I had this at Asheville Brew & View as a third choice (the other two beers taking the night off). It wasn’t exactly the best cream ale I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t half bad. It had a well presented vanilla taste to it. Try Wexford or Genesee instead, if you have the chance.

On tap at Charlotte Oktoberfest ’05. Yellow body with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was very malty. Flavor was sweet with hints of fruit and vanilla with a mild hop finish.

Draft at Asheville Pizza and Beer as a guest. Dark gold, thin white head. Very faint aroma of what? mint? although that could have been recently applied chapstick. Flavor is clean and crisp, but maybe too timid. Nice fizzy champaigne like body. Some white wine notes in the finish, as well as some hops.

On tap at Barley’s. Nice. Lighter than I like beer most of the time, but it was a good break from the stouts I was drinking. Lots of carbonation, pretty bubbly, not unpleasant. Very mild hops, fairly sweet, vanilla-y. Reminded me of a pilsener for some reason.
