Comes out of the tap a nice clear golden with a decent off-white head. Aroma is more fruity than hoppy, but still tempting, and has a hint of caramel. Hops come out in the flavor, though, bitter wood with notes of pomme fruit, citrus and malt and just a whisper of caramel, sweet nicely balancing bitter. Texture is firm and smooth but not too fizzy, and leaves a bitter hoppy finish. Get fired up!

On tap at urban bar in Knoxville tn. Firewater pours a hazy apple juice rich amber. Nose is crisp combo of floral hop scents. Taste is a fair amount of good bitters on the front that mellow through the mid taste. Finishes nicely. A good medium strength IPA.

Pours a golden orange from the growler with fluffy off-white head and moderate lacing. Aroma and taste follow, earthy and piney hops with pale malt back. Easy to drink, but nothing special.

From tap. Pours deep golden in color with small head. Aroma was mild earthy/citrus hops. Taste followed with a extra kick of bitterness with not enough malt to balance.

Draft. Pours a clear golden orange with icing-like lacing. smell is sweet toffee and earthy, grassy hops. Taste is muddled citrus and earthy hops. I did not enjoy this one at all.

12 oz can from Suttree. Thanks man! Poours a golden orange color with a big thick white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, mild sweet caramel malt. I get notes of orange and tangerine, as well as sweet malt notes. Flavor is strong citrus hops. Medium bitterness. Lots of caramel, mild sweetness. Finishes on a medium bitter note. Pretty cool beer to try.

12oz can into a pint glass. 6% abv printed on the can. Pours a hazy dark orange with a one finger off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma is fairly malt with with dark bread and some caramel. There is orange and grapefruit hop aroma along with some earthiness. The flavor is quite earthy in the beginning; almost dirt-like but in a good way. Some dark, rye bread in there too. A strong bitterness takes hold right away and doesn’t let go through the duration. A little bit of orange hop flavor along with a slightly Belgian spicyness. Mouthfeel is quite full considering the strength and style. Overall this is a fairly unique and enjoyable IPA. Plenty of hoppyness but enough of a malt backbone to support it. Easy to have a few of these in a session.
