3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Angry Ales with Nick a few weeks ago, while the girls were out for Marsha’s bach party. Solid and clean IPA, definitely a good pick. Not a super standout or anything, but good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Barley’s in Asheville. Pours orange-amber with a nice frothy head that leaves thick rings of lace. Nose is of countryside hay and silage. Some hints of candied citrus underneath peppering bitter hops. Crisp mouthfeel and coats the palate. Goes down well, but wish it were a little more balanced and complex.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Barleys, Asheville NC, 6 July 2006. Amber colour. Heavy flowery hop presence in the aroma. Perhaps a bit over the top. More subtle on the palate. Still plenty of grapefruit but less of the florists shop. Not a whole lot of malt to balance it out. Smooth mouthfeel. Quite easy drinking. Not too far from excellence in some respects but doesn’t quite hit the mark in others. Still a pretty tasty pint.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was a good IPA except for the finish. The taste and finish was a little weak. A little watery needed a little more full body. It is a very easy IPA to drink and I think it is an IPA that people who don’t like the hopper IPAs would like.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On draft at preservation pub in knoxville. Clear orange amber, minimal white head. Buttery, piney, citrusy, with a distint bitter finish. Overly bittrer, and overly average. Cool name though.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler from Libation Station. Good, not too hoppy IPA shared with friends at a cookout. One of the better IPA’s I’ve had in a while.
