12 oz can poured slightly hazy; deep red-amber body; good size bubbly head quickly dissolves. Aroma: nice malty and spicy mix with a hint of pumpkin. Flavor: Over-spiced with little sign of the pumpkin, although the malt base is still evident. Medium-full body with moderate carbonation and a slight astringency.

Can.not one of the better pumpkin ales but not bad. Orange in color with a small head.aroma is cinnamon, clove, usual pumpkin pie spice. Taste is the same.

12oz can into a pint glass. Pours a clear deep copper with a tiny fizzy head that quickly disappears. No lacing at all. Appearance is less than stellar. Aroma is really really good. Loaded with nutmeg and cinnamon with some nice light caramel undertones. Almost a little creaminess in there. The flavor also hits the spices really hard and closely matches the aroma with cinnamon and nutmeg. A little caramel and toast along with whipped cream. Very light hoppiness in the background and a slightly chalky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very nice pumpkin beer that hits the spices really hard. While not the best out there it is certainly enjoyable

Tap. Amber with small head. Light body. Sweet with some clove and nutmeg. Nice pumpkin beer.

draft clear orange color white head. nice spice aroma which seemed very balance between the cinnamon and nutmeg and pumpkin. flavor is medium spice yet balanced with the pumpkin coming in on the end. thought it was pretty darn good. good malt character

Pint on tap. Clear amber with a small but lasting head. Mild aroma of pie spices. Tastes of pie spices, with some light pumpkin-squash, caramel and dry leaf. Light-medium body is to the sweet side but has a dry-spicy flourish on the end. Borders on too much spice as do most pumpkins, but shows a bit of restraint and even some pumpkin. Still I couldn’t even contemplate a second pint due to the accumulation of spices.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2012 On tap at the Mellow---hmm, maybe the best pumpkin ale I’ve had. Aroma is all nutmeg and cinnamon. Soft brown color with no head and carbonation. The pumpkin flavor is in the background while the nutmeg dominates and I like that. Tastes like a fresh, homemade pie as opposed to a store bought pie. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the Bier Garden, Asheville. Amber-brown, filtered ruby. Thin oily off-white head. Deep sweet pumpkin-pie aroma. Rich malty tones, but even richer cinnamon and nutmeg tones. Solid offering, everything you could want in a pumpkin ale. Nice.

draft, westville pub, reviewing from notes, had 12/20/2011 - Pours a clear red with a thin white head. Aroma is medicinal, like cinnamon candy with notes of clove. Taste is a tad bitter, but otherwise not present. Once the beer moves tothe mid-palate, it completely disappears. Very thin, like cinnamon water. Disappointing, clearly the aroma is the best thing going for it.

Draft at westville pub. Pours dark autumn brownish orange. A hint of pumpkin on the nose. Mouthfeel is thin. You get a hint of pumpkin on the tongue but then it disappears very quickly. Not my fave by any stretch.
