Cask (gravity) @ Smithfield Hotel, 37 Swan St, Manchester, Greater Manchester England M4 5JZ.
Clear medium orange color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, sour malt notes, acrid butter notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20090122]

Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. A yellow beer with a rim of off-white head. It has next to no aroma. The flavor though is sweet with primary notes of malt, but also lighter notes of straw, leading to a bitter finish. Boring flavor, but a nice bitterness.

Pint at Bodega, Newcastle. Pours gold, thin white head and a fairly flat. Taste is mild bitterness and citrus, quite dry and a little watery. Lacking in bitterness I think, not great.

Guest cask via hand pump @ Wenlock 21/06/09. Pale amber coloured body, crystal clear but virtually no head. Grapefruit citrus aroma, slightly acidic of kick delivered on a soft quasi-saline mouthfeel. The aftertaste gave a citrus-dry finish of medium to short duration. Not a favourite, but if I see it elsewhere I will give it another try and see if I can improve the rating.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 18 Apr 2009) Golden yellow colour with brief, white head. Malty, grassy nose with citrus and hay. Fruity, grassy taste with notes of lemon, grass and a generous, citrussy, dry bitterness in the finish. Medium body, balanced sweetness. There are some leanings in the lager direction. Nice golden ale.
