Pours cloudy hazy brown out of the bomber (with another great He'Brew label). Interesting flavor - Belgian yeast has a stronger impact than the hops on my palate. And there's a "pop" I'm getting on the back of my tongue. Quite interesting.

Bomber. Looks solid; a semi-transparent orangish brown with light beige lacing. Smells solid too; a fairly bitter hop profile with rye spice and a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice rye tingle. Enjoyable.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a moderate yellow-white head that lasted until mid-glass and left considerable lace. Pleasant aroma of fruity Belgian yeast, rye grain, and orange. The flavor is similar but it doesn’t quite come together. Its more of a mish-mosh of flavors that don’t coalesce. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. A bit boozy at the finish as well. So so.

Aroma is overall pretty subtle. Some grassy and carbonation can be picked up. The taste really has kick. You get tastes of fruitiness and belgian sugar. The finish has a liquor bite and grassy bitterness. Body is a clear amber with lace head that retains very well.

I quite enjoyed this brew actually. It doesn’t have the bright ruby appearance of the RIPA but has a more clarified and densely packed head. The nose is well hopped with big juicy citrus notes and light esters. Light caramel and toasted bread malts work well with the heavy handed hops in the middle. Nice juicy resin and grapefruit flavours on the finish with solid bitterness. Not very balanced. Overall a good brew.

Like this one a lot. Nice resiny DIPA flavor with thick mouthfeel, and tingly rye hoppy bitterness. Belgian yeast undercurrent just adds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep Amber with a palate, cream head. Nose is huge dried fruits, heavy yeast, alcohol, light rye. Easy palate, overload of yeast, alcohol, dried fruit, sweet, bitter rye finish.

Bomber. This pours dark copper and it is hazy. A huge beige head is creamy and leaves copious lacing. Extensive waiting for that foam to subside. I get earth in the aroma along with some fairly big malts. Just a little rye. First sip brings fruit and harshness that could be a barley wine. Bitterness takes over the after taste. Big citrus hops. Malts and yeast work hand in hand and give a smooth feel and taste. It brings some toffee and grain flavors. There is a lot of nice going on here.

22oz. bottle. Slight aroma of toasty, lightly sweet and spicy rye malts, some faint citrus, herb and pepper in there as well. Deep, tawny amber color with a hugely foamy, lasting off-white head and thick gobs of lacing to match. Flavor profile is surprisingly mild for a Belgian Rye Double IPA at 10% abv., featuring some lightly toasted caramel, spicy, grainy rye, leafy, fruity, floral hop and a touch of bitterness towards the finish. Certainly not overly Belgian in nature or too sweet, at least. Alcohol presence is almost entirely minimized. Smooth, effervescent, creamy palate with a medium-full body and a touch of resin late. Not bad at all, just not as flavorful as I anticipated.
