Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, thin white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy and a bit swampy. Flavor is quite spicy, bitter and somewhat murky. Long bitter finish. Quite alcoholic and unbalanced. Messy.

Bottle 33cl from a local supermarket. Bottle got dropped and was open, so had to drink it immediately.
Aroma of honey, orangemarmelade, hoppy.
Misty orange, off-white head that leaves marks, fading head but some yeasty restings.
Didn’t read the info on the bottle, so got overwhelmed by the booze.
Beer was had nice bitterness, roasted fruits, lot of sweetness, but the alcohol kicks in in the end.
Like BlackHaddock said: this prevented to ’neck’ it at pace. ;)

Beer number five on 24th Sep 2014 in the virtual bar. 330ml bottle, BBD 17th Sep 2015, so only a young pup when I poured it into a Westmalle chalice. Very hazy body, murky orange with a full white snowy foaming head: no sediment left the bottle, I watched it try and get out but stopped the pour before it could leap out. Yeasty and sweet nose with a trace of honey in there too: I like to think I picked the honey up without reading it had any in the brew, but I am not too sure. The alcohol and the honey notes are noticeable in the taste with again a yeasty feel to the brew. I enjoyed it but the alcohol level seemed to take over the whole beer and prevented me from ’necking’ the beer at pace: which is what I wanted to do. Five more beers to open tonight, maybe should have left this until a bit later!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice orange colore, hazy, with a white head. Aroma of old bread, apricot jam. Taste is first sweet, then bitterness pops up with flavors of apricot and alcohol. An unusual triple, a bit cloying in the end.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tatse this more times (first march ’13) bottles 33 cl.
Hazy orange to amber color, with white creamy head.
Aroma: sweet, malts, hops. Medium body.
Taste: some sweet start, grainy-malts, fruits, nice hops, good bitterness.
A pleasure for drinking.
For me = the best of the ’28’ serie.

When I first met the guys from this brewery, I thought they had something to do with Caulier of Péruwelz, but apparently this is not the case (I would personally have chosen another name for the brewery then, but anyway). This triple version of the regular Caulier 28 has a yellowish white, stable head and warm orange blonde, misty colour. The aroma is quite powerful, lots of fruit, pear, gooseberry, caramel, white chocolate, grass, champagne. Malt sweetness in the mouth, well rounded and bit resinous but still a relatively light mouthfeel especially in relation to its strength; caramelly and nutty, yeasty hints, finishing in a refreshing, grassy hoppiness. So far their best beer, in my opinion.
