COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A deep blond color which is developing a dense foam. Sweetness of the alcohol and honey scent. Complex olfactory outcome essentially hopping with taste of citrus fruits and undergrowth wet hay-grass). Sugar free dry beer, extremely light with a smooth input of mouth due to alcohol. As second taste, a nice bitterness. Taste any length and persistence for a unique pleasure. Natural effervescence, very round in the mouth.

Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [160515]
Orange, hazy, thin white head
Aroma of sweet fruits, sweet malts, candi sugar, bit tangy, soft alcohol, rather malty
Taste of sweet caramel malts, some jammy pale fruits, sweet syrup, tangy, fruits are a bit odd, soft yeast, quite malty, some tangy orange
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, rather too sweet, alcohol. Finish of sweet malts with some soft bitter hops. Unbalanced.
Overall - Not a great tripel. Didn’t finish the bottle. 28 is 2.8 then

Bottle. Golden clear. Murky malts, old leaves, autumnal composty notes. Med full bodied, light oily texture, herbgrassy bitters. Distant belgy yeasty esters. This is pretty much what I thought tripels tasted like before I had a good one. Like a fat double bock with some esters, but with the murky malty booze ruining it all.

mjs (5112) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 1, 2015
(Bottle, 0.33 - no BBE info, as Caulier Tripel, from Alko Arkadia, 20150501) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, fizzy and white. Aroma had swetness, grass and milldly honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, honey, malts, frutiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A thin and characterless brew.

Caulier Tripel. 33 cl, cottled. Pours clear rustic orange with a white head. Aroma: Hops, caramel, malt. Taste: Quite sweet, banana flavours. Caramel, vanilla and spices. Some biscuits and hops. Noticeable bitterness. Palate: Medium body, some carbonation. Alcohol. Decent.

RexTalionis (2963) - FINLAND - APR 24, 2015
Bottle. Clear deep copper, small whitish head. Sweet malty, bit of cardboard in aroma, smells like a cheap and strong imperial pilsner. Sweetish, almost fudge-like taste with metallic vibes on the side. Far from an abbey trippel and weird sweet anyway.

Tide (2101) - Espoo, FINLAND - APR 24, 2015
Bottle from Alko. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, earthy notes, hops, a bit of toffee and yeast. Bitter finish with citrus, earthy notes and yeast. Solid tripel, but nothing to write home about.

33cl bottle bb09/2015. Gorgeously rich, luminous orange pour with dishwashing liquid head. Intensely soapy, condensed coriander, abv fumes and rotting peach juice in aroma. More dishwashing liquid in taste, to the point where you’d have to ask whether some rinsing agent slipped into this batch. Offish yeast components, synthetic fruit - the first ever spectacularly accidented, nearly unswallowable Proefbrouwerij conconction I’ve had the pleasure of sampling so far, a few notches below Delhaize’s yeast experiments.
