Huge, fine, lightly yellowish head, slighlty irregular and fed by well-carbonated yellow beer with a distinct greenish shine. Chalk, dusty malts. Somewhat wry, bitterish, tannine-like aroma. Faint bitterish flavour over sweetish underlying malts. Again spicy, wry, nearly woody. Pretty dry beer. Kind of right between top-fermenting blond and real Pilsener. Medium bodied at best, pretty carbonated, slight slickness, velvety. Nice, light drinking blond, no mistake!

Took some effort to get rid of the bottle cap, but it got open. Light yellow colored beer, but somewhat unclear. It has a slightly citrus-like aroma, but the taste is somewhat "flat". It has a half-bitter aftertaste. Enorm getob met de kroonkurk, maar de aanhouder wint. Mooie, lichtgele kleur, iets troebel. Licht citrusachtig aroma. De smaak is ietwat oppervlakkig, en de nasmaak is half-bitter.

Clear blond coloured beer with large diminishing white head and lots of carbonation. Fruity hopped aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finishi is herby sweet bitter.

Blonde trouble, pétillance moyenne, mousse fine et crémeuse. Arôme fruité, huileuse avec petite astringence sur la fin, amère au goût, épicée, notes d’agrumes.

Bottle from Mam & Dads holiday, Belgium. A cloudy pale yellow beer with a tart lemon and vanilla flavour followed by a creamy, spicy warming finish.

#1388 Frisches Blonde mit Zitronenanklängen im Duft und Geschmack, minimal hefig. Wird zur Mitte malzig und klingt trocken aus. Obwohl nicht vollends überzeugend, ganz nett.

Hoppy aroma with some creamy aspect to it. Rather bitter taste. Not sugary, like it says on the label.

December 2008: This brown 33cl bottle which had a long neck and was very un-Belgian in shape. It had a normal cap, but there were two holes for a flip-top style closure on the neck as well. Claims to be ’Naturally Sugar Free’ and 100% malt. On my return from Antwerp in December (an 11 hour nightmare of a journey, due to accidents and idiots) I dropped this bottle on my drive as I unloaded the car. Luckily it landed on its cap, but it loosened the seal and began spurting out. I managed to save about 25cl and this is the review. Poured into a Palm tulip glass the shook up beer was a pale milky white colour and very cloudy (well I had dropped it). The head of white foaming bubbles stayed as I wolfed the beer down, remember I’d been sat in the car for 11 hours! The label mentions spices and I found coriander in both the aroma and taste, or I think I did. Obviously fairly malty in the taste and aroma too, this was a good well balanced Blonde and I wish I’d got two of them instead of just the one. I really enjoyed this beer, but after the journey a warm pint of Fosters Skippy Piss might have tasted OK.
