(Bottled, BBE 03/2007) Hazy amber color, murky light brown with yeast. Large, foamy head with lace. Strong, sweetish berry aroma with caramel. Slightly earthy and tart. Earthy, sweetish caramely flavor of berries, yeast, mixed fruit, toffee, and some alcohol hints. Medium-bodied, thick and foamy palate. Not very carbonated after pouring, though. Quite balanced, enjoyable and reasonably complex brew. Another good one from Caulier.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-amber with huge head. Fizzy, orange tartness, medium bodied, pleasent enough but most ambrees dont thrill me.

Deep murky amber, lasting off-white cover, nice lacing. Peppery yeast dominate the nose, but is no afraid of letting the ofrange, honey and cognac nuances shining through. Mango and heavy yeast come up in the foreground in a floral sheet way. Dry breadiness is soaked in a big alcohol jar before dipping into those noble hops. Doughy to a max, grassy and applesauce like finish. Smooth soft carbo, light to moderate carbonation, medium bodied. Leaves with a burn, there certainly is work to be done with the alcohol, but complex and with unusual yeast flavors.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber with a nice but not fully stable head. Fresh caramel-like nose. Some "ambrées" are a bit sharp in their bitterness, but tjhis one has a slightly sweet caramel-like touch and comes with added candi sugar. Lovely spicy and very potent. Unique and a wonderful surprise - and great looking in it’s slim, elegant swing top bottle. 151199

Bottle, Brussels, May 2005. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a note of peach. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. The Bon Secours line is probably the most aromatically clean/untainted of what comes out of the Caulier facility...the blonde, brune, and amber are all decent, drinkable brews. This one’s pretty sweet, but it’s pretty good.

Burnt liquorice nose with notes of plum and caramel. Underattenuated and grainy palate some malt astringency with mild fruits and candy sugars.

Very nice amber color with some hazyness and a great light colored foam. Slight soft aroma’s of spices, nuts, and dry fruit. Nice malty flavour with a smooth feeling in the mouth. Slight sweet with some malts and nuts. Light fine bitterness in the end.
