App.: Hazy orange-amber with lots of small suspended particles and a frail, open white foam.
Aroma: Lots of sweet caramel/toffee, fruits and esters, some underlying malic acid brightness, some hazelnuts, light spiciness, yeast and dough.
Palate: Medium body, very lively (hence the gushing) and somewhat sharp effervescence.
Flav.: Similar to the nose, there is a good deal of caramel, some raisins and dried fruits, some cherries and apples, a bit of the organic acid brightness, a touch of nuts and spices; on swallowing, it is fairly sweet, not bitter, with more than a touch of alcohol.
Certainly not a bad brew, but it didn’t thrill me (except when it came forth from the bottle like a fizzy volcano). mazfln (84), Florianópolis, Brazil, Brazil

Bit of a gusher. Deep orange, healthy lively tight persistent head. Sweet fruity, estery, aroma - banana and pear drops, some raspberry, and a touch of apple. Soft carbonation, despite the liveliness of the bottle. On sipping, the aroma becomes more winey. In part that’s due to the alcohol. Taste is sweet and fruity, and packed full of esters. Yeasty, sweet toasty malty nose with a touch of caramel and fruity accents (oranges, elder berries), also slightly vinous and moderately alcoholic and spicy aroma. Sweet, slightly sugary flavour, medium bodied with a slightly fizzy carbonation. Toasty cara-malty taste with a moderate fruity blend and quite strong spicy elements, getting stronger towards the finish, which is furthermore alcoholic and lightly yeasty bitter.
