Bon Secours Ambrée gives an elegant look in its copper color with a subtle blend of pale malts and caramel. Its foam is creamy and persistent. On the palate, it is dry and develops a long and fine bitterness. Bottle conditioned. Ingredients: water, barley malt, candi sugar, hops, yeast.

Upon opening the bottle, Aroma of rice being cooked. Then it went to a corn dominant. It eventually became this wheat like the one you get in Belgian white beer.

* Old rating, best before 09.11. Malzig-süßliches, fruchtiges und leicht alkoholisches Bier. Nett, aber mir zu süßlich.

Cloudy brownish orange blond beer with thick off-white head; very estery, lots of candied orange, stonefruit, pineapple, peach, some nutty malts, caramelly, sugary, sweet main taste, very yeasty with dryish, bitterish and somewhat spicy finish, a tad vinous, with agreeably warming alcohol; tasted as an old beer, I will re-rate this when I find a fresh bottle.

Swing top bottle 75cl. (bought online at drankdozijn.nl). Cloudy medium amber color, good foamy off -white head, recedes slowly to a steady layer, light lacing; sweet malty nose, caramel, fruity (peach, apricot, orange), hints of honey, candy sugar, hints of barnyard, herbal notes; taste moderate fruity sweet (apricot), light acidic and slightly bitter – quite complex; medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation; finish fresh herbal bitter, light sweet and spicy notes. Alcohol well hidden. Interesting beer.

(Caulier Bon Secours Ambrée) Swing top bottle, 330 ml, at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8% Deep golden orange colour on the body, quite clear, with a very tall and thick head, slightly off-white in colour, with great retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, ripe peaches, apricot, sugar. Fruity taste, again peaches and sweet apricot, some yeast. Very refreshing. Well hidden alcohol. Medium thin body, nicely carbonated. Very good.
