decants a very bright orange-tinted amber with minimal head and carbonation. nose is quite fruity, with sweet caramel notes. flavor is sweetly malty, with notes of plum and brown sugar. one dimensional beer is pleasant enough, but not terribly exciting.

Light amber orange coloured, with a huge white head, and a lot of carbonation. Little roasted herby fruity aroma, some malts and alcoholic touches. Full body. Finish is little bitter, roasted with some alcoholic, caramel touches. Very nice one.

(Bottle, BB 09/09) Pours a cloudy burnt orange body with a large long-lasting whip cream-like off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, oak, smoke, grass, caramel, and mustiness. Flavor of caramel malt, mild hops, spicy yeast, apple cider, and alcohol.

Sampled at the Richmond Beer Industry Gathering 2006. Hazy dark amber body with a small tan head. Dry caramel aroma. Sweet caramel flavor with some mild yeast hints.

0.33l bottle at home. Hazy amber color with huge white head that diminished quickly but didn’t fade away completely. Nice lace on the glass. Bit alcoholic aroma, some roasted taste like roasted bitter hazelnut chocolate Real joy to drink.

Draught from Paradise Beer Weekend. Picked out what I believed to be the wisest looking gentleman from the brewery and requested that he pour me his favourite. To my delight, he poured the ambree. Beer notes are beyond illegible, but luckily memory serves well. Orange in colour with small white head. Hoppy nose with hints of citrus and spice. Sweet-ish taste of red berries with a spicy edge. Slightly bitter finish of walnuts. Kind of syrupy - my only real gripe. Overall great beer.

Cloudy dark golden, with a small white head. Very nutty and spicy aroma with some alcohol coming through too. Weird hazelnut flavours in the mouthful, along with some alcohol burn and caramel. Its interesting and a little weird really.
