Cloudy golden copper body with a large off-white head. Aroma is rather perfumed with a little “romantic” flowers smell. Taste is not lacklustre. Pancakes-like malt-base foundation, quite a bit of bubble gum, a lot of spices/herbs, some tobacco, rose water, and more. It does taste a lot of things but the end-result doesn’t add-up to much. Some caramel as it warms-up helps it a bit. Fluffy body. One of the cutest little bottle out there. Maybe I was dumbfounded by the beautiful exterior but at first I thought it was great (cute women do that to me too). Now a year later I just think it is rather boring (again the cute women parallel). Either it is very unstable or my taste has changed a lot this part year.

Hazy amber color, big off-white head. Fruity plum jam and yeast nose with woody hops. Medium-bodied. Bitter, crisp carbonation. Very sweet fruity (candi sugar, more plum jam) for the style, warming alcohol in the finish. Drains to woody aftertaste. Year or so in the cellar would do wonders. Now just "ok" dessert drink.

Positively explodes out of the bottle as the EZ-Cap pops like a shot... Pleasant floral, citrus, perfumey, woody, leafy aroma with some notes of alcohol and iron. Focus is definitely on the hops but there is a musky honey character to the underlying malts. Opaque muddy copper-tan coloured body is topped by an immense, large bubbled white head that collapses to a lasting cover abandoning clouds of lace down the sides of the glass. Honey and floral sweetness up front are cut by a mild bitterness. Grainy, toasty, biscuity malts and wheat character emerge especially in the aftertaste along with a lasting impression of cookie-dough. Medium body is quite soft in texture. I expected hard prickly carbonation or none at all due to the huge blow-off when opening and pouring the bottle but I got neither. There is plenty of carbonation remaining and it is neither overly aggressive nor too subdued. Stemmed glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB 01-Jul-09, Bièropholie, Feb-05).

Pours deep clear amber brown with a malted bread nose. Medium nectar. Light on the froth. Flavors of coffee, brown sugar, wood, and tobacco. Dry with a tart yeasty finish. Drinks better warmed.

Hazy amber-orangeish hue, with a rocky frothy beige head, leaving nice lacing, with a sweet caramelized malt, yeasty, brown sugar, dark fruity notes, hint of candied orange peels, and chocolate aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasted malt, caramel malt, toffeeish accent, brown sugar, dried dark fruit notes, with a sweet candied apples and chocolate truffles, leading towards an alcoholic warmth and low spicy hops finish.

Bottle... Hazy, burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose is of chocolate, dark fruits, light molasses and a touch of menthol. Chocolately, caramelly flavor. Adequately bittered for good balance. Notes of Luden’s honey cough drops and pralines. A tad tangy and salty too. Medium to full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Finishes a bit thin.

Hazy copper-brown body with a filmy off-white head. Dark honey and caramel aroma. Very sweet, worty flavor. Based on this beer and the blonde, they’re obviously not attenuating their yeasts very well. This beer strikes me as half-finished with not much depth of character.
