Pours a hazy copper amber with a clingy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet sugary caramel malts with a touch of doughy malts. Body starts with a decent fullness and some toasty biscuity malts. Finishes with some warmth, but a drier slightly earthy dark caramel finish. A decent Belgian strong. It’s funny that a bar in London sells half-gallon bottles of this for $1000.

Its a good, solid belgian, doesnt differentiate too much from most belgians but in no way bad. Its not as heavy as a lot of Strong Ale's, pours with a big head.

(Bottle, BB 09/09) Pours a cloudy burnt orange body with a large long-lasting whip cream-like off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, oak, smoke, grass, caramel, and mustiness. Flavor of caramel malt, mild hops, spicy yeast, apple cider, and alcohol.

(Bottled, BBE 03/2007) Hazy amber color, murky light brown with yeast. Large, foamy head with lace. Strong, sweetish berry aroma with caramel. Slightly earthy and tart. Earthy, sweetish caramely flavor of berries, yeast, mixed fruit, toffee, and some alcohol hints. Medium-bodied, thick and foamy palate. Not very carbonated after pouring, though. Quite balanced, enjoyable and reasonably complex brew. Another good one from Caulier.

At the 2007 Big Beer, Belgians, & Barleywines Festival in Vail. Pours amber orange in color with a poofy white head that erodes but leaves light lacing. Aroma is fruity, but flavor is way more tart-sour than I expected. The finish yields a citrus-like taste that usually comes from wheat beers and a residual alcohol burn.

Bottle. [thank you, yespr, shared @ Plan B]
Pours a lightly hazy orange with a bubbly, frothy white head - wonderful lacework. Aroma is very Tripel-ish, oranges, peach with light caramel. Full and very creamy mouthfeel with a grainy touch. Flavour is light sourish with lots of fruitiness, especially oranges. This should perhaps be a Tripel?
