Three-inch fluffy white head - like a meringue. Murky orange in color, as if a milkshake had been made out of oranges and mud. Overly carbonated. Moderately spiced - pepper, herbs and a whiff of citrus. Bitterness. All the ingredients are there, but they don't come together all that well. Lacks sweetness and the herbs overwhelm.

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2012
Flip-top 33cl bottle, fairly fresh, poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged stemmed tulip glass. Slightly hazy golden body, a good firm white head sat on top at first, it fell to a thin covering with some laceing as the tasting progressed. Vinegarous aroma, mild, yet overpowering anything else. Sour tasting at first, then the hops and yeast get to work and it becomes easier to drink. Because it was so young (best before 03/2012, drank 10/2009) it was a bit fizzy and spritzy. Better than the ’on-tap’ one I had back in 2007: but only just.

0,33l swing top bottle from beerplanet web shop. Hazy dark orange color with huge white head. Aroma of yeast, honey, toasted bread. Taste, oranges, yeast, citrus zest, caramel, light bitterness in background. Quite unpleasant tartness in finish. Alcohol is well present. Drinkable.

33cl bottle. Orangish colour with a good formation of white head with a moderate duration. Aroma is spicy, malty and fruity (orange). Flavour has orange notes, caramel, yeasty and a final moderate bittery and dry. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

Nice amber haze with big white froth slowly dissipating . Fruity nose with some malt . Lively carbonation perfect for this beer leading to a nice full mouthfeel . Green fruits taste with a hint of sourness giving a refreshing feel .Long juicy finish with a little bitterness coming through . Alcohol does not show except for a slight pleasant lingering warmth . A nice beer

Hazy amber coloured beer with large diminishing white head and lots of carbonation. Malty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is slight roasted with rather bitter ending. Character beer. Nice!

Bottle from Asao. Rich, fruity nose, orange, aple, light caramel and raisin. Nice fine head on a typically amber beer. Caramel, light butterscotch, with alcohol, very tasty and rich malts. Apples. Nice amber flavor, slightly earthy. Sweet but restrained. Twsty, slightly fizzy. Rather light body

Toasted beer with an excellent amber colour. Goos and creamy head. The second yeast in bottle gives it a very nice flavour and bitterness. Good aroma and palate, not so sweet and a little bit citric. Long finish, a little bitter.

33cl bottle. Hazy orange/amber with a big gray head. Nose : Bread with fruity bubblegum (raspberry, orange and little cherry). Sip : Lively body, little oily. Very fruity aromas developed by sourness then followed by bitter dried plums. Yeasty. It’s not bad but since I can find better it’s one time thing.
