Brown bottle, 0,33 l, best before 08 08, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savoured on April 29 2008; eye: caramel, hazy, suspended matter, no effervescence, off-white head that turns into a small ring, no lacing; nose: cider, lots of caramel, spices (pepper), alcohol, light fruitiness; mouth: cider, fruity, lightly stale, light alcohol, lots of caramel, grainy malt, light Madeira, finale in caramel-alcohol-cider-fruity, sticky texture, a bit thin, not much carbonation; overall: different but I enjoyed it

Jul 18, 2008 Hazy amber-honey hue, with an off-white head, super sweet honeyed pale malt nose, with a spicy vanilla accent, with a kind of a warming maple syrup note, from the candi sugar, and a faint floral hop aroma follows through on a full-bodied palate with an a big sweet honeyish pale malt alcoholic character, with a touch of vanilla, a bit buttery too, still has his maple syrup kind of sweetness, from the huge amount of candi sugar added, with a fruity hint of caramelized ripe apples, leading towards a sweet warming honey finsh.

Jul 11, 2008 Pours a hazy orangey blonde color with a thin white head. As soon as I put my nose over the glass I felt the repulsive aroma of strong, sickening sweetness with alcohol. As weird, as it sounds, the flavor is worse and after a sip, I’m not sure I want a second, sickening sweetness, alcohol and other bad stuff in there, yuck.

May 23, 2008 Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty golden color ale with a small foamy head with no retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of loads of candi sugar with some dry hops. Taste is a mix between some gross sweet malt notes and loads of candi sugar with a weird metallic hoppy finish. Minimal carbonation with no apparent alcohol and a full oily body. I have to say that I was disappointed by this overly sweet beer that is badly missing some balance.
