The taste is dominated by a sour taste as you usually get with spontaneous fermented beers. This goes along with a heavy alcohol taste that is somehow contradictory to the medium body of this brew. A light dry hop finish rounds it up. OK, but certainly not my kind of beer due to it’s sour character.

33cl bottle swing top Bon Secours style. Appearance: Hazy deep blonde with a bit yeast floating init. On top of there is a thick, creamy white head, which leaves some lacing. Aroma: Esters, light malts, yeasty spicyness, candi sugar, coriander, citrus Taste: Sugary, yeasty, boozy taste. Finish is very boozy, heavy body, soft -moderate carbonation. Way too boozy. and yeasty.

Alengrin (2436) - BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2014
Caulier’s Christmas tripel, from the typical Bon Secours swingtop bottle. Hazy deep blonde under a thick, creamy white head; estery, pale malt sweetness, lots of yeasty spiciness, candi sugar, honeyish, coriander, citrus peel freshness, sweet and herbally hop bitterish finish with warming, but not really disturbing alcohol, very yeasty as well. Quite enjoyable.

330 ml swing top bottle. Pours a very hazy tawny yellow with light white head. Aromas of lemon wax, honey, yeast and pears. Flavors of lemon wax and white pepper with medicinal floral notes. Odd.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass. Good Christmas beer who is blonde. Nice aroma of caramel, casual and "vanilla" appearance (gamers will understand). Great palate, stay in mouth. Oh, and she got a nice white creamy head. One of the good Christmas beers. Just go get it !
