In short: A crappy beer with not redeeming qualities (winter 2007-2008 batch)
How: Bottle 330ml, winter 2007 batch. Drank when about 1 year of age.
The look: Cloudy dirty blonde body with lots of particles. Almost no head
In long: Gross nose of corn syrup, beans and alcohol. Taste is gross, gross, gross. Sickeningly sweet, condensed corn syrup, hint of spices. Dead syrupy body. I had a previous batch and it was enjoyable and totally different. This new 2007 batch is absolutely gross. Robe blonde voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse qui persiste. Arômes de liège, de CO2 et de malt. Saveurs de malt, de sucre, de liège, de levures et d’alcool.

bottled. Clear blonde with flat white head. Strong alcohol in the nose with vanilla and white chocolate. Taste of burning alcohol with peach, apricot and vanilla. The alcohol tastes a bit like gin - reminds of a brutal mixed cocktail. Too strong overall. There are beers out there that pull off a high abv without tasting like gasoline. But I’m not complaining at the moment as it’s maintaining my buzz and in true Noel form, it’s keeping me warm.

(Bottle, BB 10/09) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a large white head and good lacing. Aroma of mustiness, lemon, and toffee. Aroma of spicy yeast, light citrus, malt, and spices.

Orange color and strong fruity-spicey aroma. Flavour is dominated by alcohol, but is sweet. Has a farily sharp taste.

Tap at Chr. Firtal, Odense. Golden yellow with thick creamy white head. Smooth texture. Alcohol feel & sweetness. Dry hoppiness. Some fruit appears - citrus which gives a fresh feel! Pleasant!

(33cl bottle, best by 10/2010) Swing top opens with a loud pop -- the pour is mostly white foam, which diminishes very slowly to reveal a hazy straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, candi sugar, herbal, some peach/banana. Taste is sweet, candi sugar, peach, banana, alcohol, some herbal. Medium-full body dominated by the alcohol. Blindfold me and tell me it’s a fruity mixed drink and I would have trouble disagreeing-- sure there’s a slight beeriness, but that’s overwhelmed by the sweet fruitiness and alcohol. As always, whether that’s a bad thing depends on your perspective and expectations.

Warm golden, with a nice white head. The aroma is fruity, mainly citrus, and I also get notes of alcohol. The flavour is refreshing with notes of citrus, a bit of candy sugar and sweetness. The overall impression is smooth but yet crisp and refreshing. 1825
