The smell is heady, sweet and alcohol with some phenols - almost like a very organic apple cider. Warming taste, evident alcohol, yeast, and something sweet and tannic. Highly recommended. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2009 From the other kp in GA. The pop on this bottle is ferocious. It pours with a vigorous head but it fades fast into just a decent head, just bubbly (not foamy). The color is a thick golden with some clarity. Aroma is weird, it’s a mix of beautiful floral yeasitness with a honey and spoiled milk/vomit... yeah like I said, weird. On the bright side it is a sweet, faintly chocolate, nice type of spoiled milk/vomit. Taste is lower on that weird aspect, just an ester and sweet brew. It seems there is a honey gone awry aspect here. Makes it a bit too sweet and a bit too, well, honey, espesically with all the esters. Its fine, yet over-the-top. A lightly thicker feel but enough carbonation to offset it. A long sweet, honey-ish, and cocoa aftertaste. Its rough around the edges, but for a light colored beer I feel this could age a little bit. There is a bit of alcohol heft to it. Later pours give it a much larger head and a thicker, dirtier color.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 12, 2006 Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour with sediments floating around. Big white creamy head, which leaves lacing. Strong alcohol and sour apple in aroma. Almost like vodka mixed with sour applejuice. Flavour almost the same, but the yeast in it smoothens the sweet alcohol out a bit. Warming alcohol alone in finish though. Aftertaste becomes more to the sour appleish. Also some spices as it gets a bit warmer. Quite nicely balanced as for the flavour, but the aroma is not the best in my opinion.
