Jul 3, 2003 The aroma is a powerful lemon and anise aroma - very fresh, slightly sweet with hints of ginger - a very inviting aroma. The beer is a unclear dark yellow with a fantastic head. The flavor rounded, slightly sweet with powerful notes spices - is it anise? It has been fermented in the bottle with candy sugar added.

Jul 27, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very hazy, pale golden beer with lots of yeast and a huge head. Quite dry with some warming alcohol. Also quite high in carbonation. More dry than bitter. Not a top-class Blonde ale. actually a bit ordinary. Disappointing considering Caulier’s normal high standards. 030601

Oct 16, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a white head. Aroma is heavy honey. Flavour is strong honey flavour with a strong malt base beneath. Ends astringent dried fruity.

Apr 16, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy yellow / golden color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishingwhite head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, sugar, fruit ! Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic woth a short to average duration. Body is medium, yexture is oily, carbonation is lively to fizzy.

Aug 7, 2006 Bottled. Hazy pale golden colour with huge creamy white head. Alcohol, chemicals and fruits in aroma. Flavour is yeasty, fruity and some alcohol. Without the bottom yeasts it was full of alcohol, so the yeast takes the biting alcohol away a bit. Quite similar to the other Bon Secours rated so far.

Fruity flavour of spices and yeast with notes of cardboard and alcohol.

Mar 9, 2004 Light blond color, hazy. Very nice aroma: malt, coriander, spices, lemon. Good Strong Belgian Ale, smooth (the aroma is its best feature).
