33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Brussels. Rated on 21.07.2010
Aroma is sweet with malty notes, some chocolate and ripe fruits. Flavour is somewhat sweet with malty notes, semi‐dark chocolate, some coffee notes, brown sugar and raisins. Turns a bit sour after warming up in a glass. Decent.

Bottle at home from Pauwels, Kortrijk - BE. Color: deep dark brown beer almost black no carbonation and small ivory brownish head. Smell: roasted malt caramel, belgian yeast, soy sauce. Taste: medium body with roasted malt and soy sauce. Small anise taste. Caramel and alcohol finish. Not very well balanced. Aftertaste: caramel roasted malt, dry sensation. Alcohol.

Cloudy dark brown color, minimal tan head. Aroma is alcohol and some unusual fruit plus figs and rotten strawberries. Taste? What a rollercoaster. Fruity, sweet and bitter, then turns to really sweet with again rotten fruit notes, ends with sour grapes. Livlely carbonation, medium body. //bottle bought at Brezice beer festival

Aromaty glownie owocowe (wisnie, sliwki), karmelowo-toffi, gdzies w tle lekka zbozowosc, moze slad czekolady. W ustach powyzsze sie potwierdza, nieco czuc tez alkohol, ale nieprzeszkadzajaco, slodkawe, kwaskowate, dosc wysoko wysycone.

Gott

330ml flip-top bottle. Murky copper brown color. Tiny size, thin beige head, disappears. Burnt sugar, caramel, sweet, dried plums, faint cocoa in aroma. Roast, sweet, metallic, papery yeast, dry dusty hops, alcohol in taste. Sweet malts, tiny bit of acetone in dry yeasty paper in aftertaste. Up to medium carbonation. Alcohol is present, but drinkable.

Bottle at home. Over a year old bottle. Pours a hazy deep, reddish brown color with a creamy, ivory head. The aroma have lots of raisins, dark wood, nuts, heather, herbs, cocoa, roasted malt, brown sugar and milk chocolate and some alcohol. The flavor has more wood, rye bread, nuts and alcohol. Quite light for a dubbel. Has a medium body, slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Nice aroma but I’m a bit disappointed that the taste didn’t follow up. A decent dubbel anyhow.

Dark brown body, medium creamy head. Aroma of toffee, apple..., candy sugar and light chocoloate notes with some liquorice. Flavour has toffee, cococa, apple. Unpleasant hops... Medium body, medium-high carbo. It taste flawed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
