1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 deflagro (106) - Lund, - FEB 18, 2010Bottle. Red-orange, a bit cloudy liquid with a medium-sized, off-white head. Smell is herb-ish and sweet with lots of synthetic raspberry aromas. Taste is sweet with notes of synthetic raspberry and chewing gum. A weird, disturbing half-bitter finish. This is bad. Really bad.

bottle at home... copper ... big white head ... soft toffee ... soft rasperry nose ... light bitter front ... some raspberry ... but mostly bitter and a little dull
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Noctilucus (97) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - JUN 29, 2012
As so often with Bon Secours, open with care, quite a gusher right after you hear the pop...
Deep red colour, not that much foam remaining after a few minutes; the foam has a touch of pink in it, not surprising for a framboise.
The aroma is mix of sweet and sour from the raspberries, with some effort you can detect a beer underneath, a typical "amber" smell.
The taste is refreshing, definitely not too sweet but not enough body either; there’s the slight sour touch from the raspberries with a rather watered down amber or blonde beer, quite bitter and a touch alcoholic.
The aftertaste is a bit bitter, at times almost metallic. For me this beer is too inconsistent to be a good mix, it is as if the different tastes keep pushing each other to the background. It’s also very light on body, with medium carbonation almost adding to the light / refreshing character.
Afterwards I read that it’s sugarfree which partially explains the taste.
The first Bon Secours that is not a winner in my book...
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Travlr (7984) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle. Hazy purple color, medium off pink head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Taste is summer fruit, raw bread, subtle sourness. Not bad.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BlackEyePA (547) - USA - FEB 25, 2012
Overall real nice. I actually like the bon secours beers. So anyway, the taste is nice considering it tastes natural with some help from syrup. Palate is clean with a linger of ester. Taste is strong raspberry and alco ester. Appearance is nice and red with a light head, weak legs. Overall nice offering.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Benzai (4333) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JAN 26, 2012
Bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Cloudy hazy dark red color, big white head. Smells very sweet, lightly fruity. Taste sweetness, grape-peel, raspberry. Slightly weird aftertaste. Medium carbonation, medium body.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Martinus (1777) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 7, 2011
Clear red brown colour, pinkish white head. Aroma of malts and raspberries. Some higher alcohols. Quite sweet. Flavour of malt and raspberry. Just not complex raspberry, more one-dimensional. I think adding just juice and not whole raspberries to the brew has made it less complex. Sweetish, but with a dry ending. Not the best framboise I’ve ever tasted.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Grima (1857) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2011
Dark red-brown color. Lots of small black particles swim around. Smells sweet, slightly singed and slightly alcoholic. Starts pretty sweet, slightly caramel-like and the raspberry only comes through very slightly. The finish is bitter fruity, strong grapefruit and berry aroma with strong malt body!
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tderoeck (3000) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2011
8/05/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 3/2013 (2011-197)
Pretty cloudy amber to copper red beer, white creamy head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: raspberries, yogurt, grenadine syrup. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: a sour touch up front, then fruity, a bit sweet but not much, then bitter. Aftertaste: citric touch. If I were to taste this blind, I don’t think I would get the raspberries from the flavour.

Hazy amber body with a good white foamy head. Decent malty aroma with raspberry and bubble gum hints. Fair malty/hoppy taste with raspberry notes. Ends with a decent bitter/sour finish. Average fruit beer.
