Bottle 33cl. Clear deep amber, good frothy beige head, diminishing slowly, leaves yeast patches, light lacing; light sour aroma, malts, cherries, strawberries, cinnamon; taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, bit toffee, light sour on the palate, fruity; medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste dry bitter, dusky, chalk, again bit more sour in the finish; peculiar rather complex brew, interesting.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malts, caramel, red fruits, definite spicy notes, cinnamon, some brown sugar, hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Pleasantly surprising balanced sweetness for a malty/spicy Belgian Ale. Enjoyable.

33 cl bottle from Drink d’Annevoie, BE. Clear amber color with a frothy good lacing off-white head. Aroma: moderate malty, fruity. Flavor: light sweet with a dry and moderate acidic finish. Body is light and the carbonation is soft. Not my type...

The dark one in the sugar-free series and like its blonde predecessor, very low in calories. Yellowish beige head, darkish amber colour with chestnut hue, not really dark contrary to what the label says. Aroma of caramel, nuts, strawberry, yoghurt, pepper; taste very dry, bit sourish, bit of iron, woody malts, dried fruits, finishing in a dry-hopped, aromatic bitterishness. Too dry and thin for my taste.

Bottle @ De Fiere Margriet, Leuven. Brown colour, white foam. Too much carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts with dark fruits. A sour note and metallic taste. Not good.

29/X/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ some holiday residence with my choir - BB: 12/IX/14 (2013-1014)

Clear amber to red orange beer, irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, bit sourish, overripe fruits, orange peel. MF: lots of carbon, 2 much to be pleasant, medium to light body. Taste: little bitter, sourish, hoppy, toast, citrus. Aftertaste: bitter and hoppy, bit watery textures, hint of mocha. Meh.

Pure reddish-amber color woth huge rocky beige head. In the nose can be felt a very gentle combination of bready malts, citrus, caramel/chocolate, lovely spices and even beatiful evergreen pine. Pleasantly balanced taste of malts, spices and some sweet nuttiness. Smooth bitter aftertaste reminds of rye bread. Average carbonation and medium body. Surprisingly FRESH CRISPY and DRINKABLE. Fair ale.
