3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at déjàvu. Pours a pitch black with a solid tanned head. Superb lacing left around the glass. Aromas is big on the sweet bitter cocoa, coffee, roast malts and vanilla. Taste has the bitter coffee and malts up front with the chocolate vanilla backbone coating the palate. Vanilla really smooths it out. Palate left dry and wanting more. 10% abv hidden well too. Pretty pleased

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with a small, dense lightly tanned head leaving some solid lacing. Head stays for the duration. Nose takes a little while to come out and is a touch subdued. Some sweet, bitter cocoa, biscuit, a touch of ash and espresso. Taste is very coffee forward with a lot of bitterness through the palate. Dark chocolate adds to the beer to give it a slight mocha tone throughout. Charred malts play a big role. Palate is soft with light carbonation. Easy drinking for a 10% brew. Tasty stuff

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 9%. Dense black pour with a lasting, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty and smokey with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, raisins and dates. Smoke, tar and roasted malt dominate the flavour with subtle undertones of chocolate and dark fruits. Mouthfeel is thick but slightly watery with subdued carbonation and a lingering roasty finish. Nice Imperial Stout overall, not overly complicated or aggressive but particularly easy to drink.
