COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Classic Bavarian hefeweizen. Precise fermentation results in a heady mix of banana and subtle bubblegum aromas. Backed up by a soft, bready, slightly sweet malt flavour that only the finest German malts can produce. A fine dusting from the yeast still in suspension from the fermentation adds a slight tartness, resulting in a very refreshing beer.

Pours murky amber with a large, lasting head. Nose shows doughy wheat, lemons, clove. Pretty standard for the style. Same story with the flavours, doughy wheat, cloves. However a vegetal and grainy character becomes apparent in the finish. Carbonation is too high.

330ml bottle. This beer is all foam initially from the second that you pour it into the glass. The foam slowly settles to give way to a hazy light golden colour. Lots of sweet banana aromas fill the nose while the fllavour is a bit light on. Finishes clean in the mouth.

Bottle. Hazy copper with a white head that needs a little encouragement to reach two inches. Wheaty aroma with lemon, cloves, banana, apple. Taste is a mixture of sweet and sour with a real wheaty/ lemony tang followed by mild but vibrant spices. Best non-German bottled hefe I’ve had by some distance. Very pricey but really good.

Unusual aroma for a weizen. I’m usually overwhelmed by the wheat, but this has serious honey overtones. Nice, curt flavour, a little sour, quite filling. Nice.

One of the best beers I’ve had. A true wheat beer with truly unique and rich flavours. You must try this beer!
