This dry Irish stout is smooth and flavorful with excellent malt and chocolate undertones. 4.2% Alc. By Vol. 40 IBU’s. Back of Label: Nomad is a good friend that led a team in eastern Baghdad with a base at the Al Rustimayah war college in southeastern Baghdad. He was the only officer in our group to be wounded and this came from an Iraqi ceiling fan. We promptly shot the fan and transported the wounded soldier to the aid station where he received three stitches.

Fairly typical dry stout. Roasted malts, hint of chocolate, etc. A litte light on flavor. Way too much carbonation - this really detracted from the beer for me.

Bottle. This is a pretty lack luster product that is not worth looking for.

12oz bottle. Enormous brown head atop black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, roast, coffee, some bittersweet chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, roast, some coffee, earthy, light bittersweet chocolate. Light-medium body, some effervescence.

12 oz. bottle. English pint shows a nearly black color with frothy, tan head. Over carbonated like the previous two bottles I’ve had from this brewer. Nose is roasted malt and barley. Flavor is roasted barley, grain and malt, with a light amount of chocolate sweetness. Texture is ashy. Overall no real problems but nothing to go out of your way for.

12oz bottle-pours a too big foamy brown head with black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty/chocolate. Taste is ashy, metallic, asprin, dark malt. Stopped at 4oz.

Stout is not my favorite style but Cavalry offers up a nice stout with this offering. At $7.99 a six pack this is less than you can generally get 1-2 bottles of any other stout. Good value though you may be critical if you are more of a stout lover than I.

Bottled. Poured deep brown with a colossal dark tan head that wasn’t interested in receding.. not usually a good sign when it pours like that. The aroma picked up a lovely blend of sweeter, dry-roasted chocolates, vanilla, and lesser earthy character.. fresh, airy feel around.. I really dug it. The flavor found mostly sweet molasses and vanilla extract at the core, with similar sticky sugars extending outward and hanging on the finish.. most of the roast gave way to sweetness, but a little came back with some chocolate bitterness on the finish.. more molasses on the aftertaste.. not great, but no real complaints. Lighter-bodied and very heavily carbonated on the palate.. almost had to chew through the bubbles.. not as dry or roasty as I wanted, but still an aiight brew.

Nearly black pour. Tan head. Light charred aroma with some coffee and cocoa. Flavor is very dry, cocoa powder, charcoal and maybe a hint of smoke. Average.

another miss unfortunately for this new brewer, not fair to call this is dry stout, more of a baltic porter? maybe...i dunno, just trying to find something nice to say.

Pours black, big fizzy tan head. Aroma has notes of sweet caramel, some lacto, touch of roast and coffee. Taste is some sweet caramel, some roast, dry finish. Watery, bland, and very fizzy. Once was enough, this beer is not very good at all.
