This particular chili beer proved to have what it takes in heat and taste. It wasnít over spicy by any means but offered a genuine pepper draw and stayed true to what it is. I enjoyed this beer paired with a mushroom swiss burger and potato chips.

Bottle, 4.2% abv, not 4.7% Anyway, this is a lager with a whole green chili in the bottle. The lager itself is pretty boring but the addition of a chilli pepper is not a bad move. It is the only chili beer iíve tasted so far that actually tastes of chili (not that I in particular enjoy this combination). So as a chili beer it succeeds, putting the otherwise mediocre lager beer in the background.

Tastes just like a bottle of larger with a chilli in it. Thatís all. Nothing more to say.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. I tried this at age 22 and thought it was most disgusting beer that Iíd ever had in my life. Time to give it another chance! Pours a clear golden appearance with little head retention and a fucken a bronus chili pepper! Chili powder, a touch sweet, black pepper aroma. Moderately spicy, decent flavored chili pepper taste without a massive amount of vegetable notes like some chili beers. A touch of smokiness. Really not as horrendous as I thought seven years ago. This ainít no fucken gem, but I spose in the right mood, it wouldnít be horrible. Cheers Until Next Time!

Iím surprised by the percentile scores but Iím not. The beer itself was fairly bland being your standard Mexican cerveza: watery consistency, piss-yellow colour and nil head. The chili added good but not overwhelming piquancy which got more impressive the further I got down the glass. Iím afraid to say that the addition of a lime wedge made this a lot more palatable to the extent that I actually enjoyed it. I can understand why this scores so lowly in terms of critical appraisal, but for a zero percentile beer, I donít think Iíll enjoy another as much.

Bottle w Chili! Exactly what youīd expect, beer with chili taste but no too spicy. Iīd buy it again. Food Pairing: Anything with Chili!

Well, a point or two for being creative, but that is all the good there is to say about this concoction. This is a beer you would serve to people you really donít like.

LOL. Well we used to sell this at Bottleworks. Normally had a really hard time selling it...but we popped a couple one time just to try it. Wreaks of chili, great aroma, just that itís powerful. Itís all downhill from there!

Iíve seen people piss all over this beer and frankly Iím amazed. This is a warm pepper brew that goes nicely with hot tacos and other such yummies. Tsk Tsk on you that jumped too soon. This is a very good brew. Maybe a bit of a gimmick, but in this case it works IMO.

Pours a classic golden color with a quickly attenuating, pure white head. The chili pepper floats to the top of the beer and looks a bit out of place. Carbonation bubbles perpetually migrate from the bottom to the surface. There is an overt fresh chili aroma wafting up from the glass. Just a hint of inoffensive vinegar. The mouthfeel is full and a touch oily, for a lager. Flavors of a quality Mexican lager and fresh chili. The capsicum is in enough concentration that there is a sting on the tongue and in the back of the throat. I really enjoy this beer.
