I’m surprised by the percentile scores but I’m not. The beer itself was fairly bland being your standard Mexican cerveza: watery consistency, piss-yellow colour and nil head. The chili added good but not overwhelming piquancy which got more impressive the further I got down the glass. I’m afraid to say that the addition of a lime wedge made this a lot more palatable to the extent that I actually enjoyed it. I can understand why this scores so lowly in terms of critical appraisal, but for a zero percentile beer, I don’t think I’ll enjoy another as much.

Well, a point or two for being creative, but that is all the good there is to say about this concoction. This is a beer you would serve to people you really don’t like.

LOL. Well we used to sell this at Bottleworks. Normally had a really hard time selling it...but we popped a couple one time just to try it. Wreaks of chili, great aroma, just that it’s powerful. It’s all downhill from there!

I’ve seen people piss all over this beer and frankly I’m amazed. This is a warm pepper brew that goes nicely with hot tacos and other such yummies. Tsk Tsk on you that jumped too soon. This is a very good brew. Maybe a bit of a gimmick, but in this case it works IMO.

Pours a classic golden color with a quickly attenuating, pure white head. The chili pepper floats to the top of the beer and looks a bit out of place. Carbonation bubbles perpetually migrate from the bottom to the surface. There is an overt fresh chili aroma wafting up from the glass. Just a hint of inoffensive vinegar. The mouthfeel is full and a touch oily, for a lager. Flavors of a quality Mexican lager and fresh chili. The capsicum is in enough concentration that there is a sting on the tongue and in the back of the throat. I really enjoy this beer.

One of my favourite beers! Refreshing with a twist yet leaving a suttel tingle on your tastbuds. Easy to drink but to be careful if you have stomach ulcers

One of the most disgusting ones of the world. Tough to describe how awful this one is. Tastes like a mixture of chilli and cucumber water. Bad one. Very bad.

There were only few beers I had that were that bad. It is just nothing like a beer, really. It tastes like the cast you have from the tinned chilis, just like awful chili water. Nothing about beer, just awful. Almost got sick after drinking it.

It’s a BMC with pepper infused. Barely drinkable, even with the novelty factor. Somewhat embarrassed to frequent a place that serves this.
