In short: A caramelized and very bitter Double IPA. Good standard take on the style
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear dark orange body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose has plenty of leafy peppery hops. Tastes starts with a good amount of crunchy caramelized malts. Then a strong aggressive bitterness with peppery notes. They went heavy on the bittering hops here. All other beers I had from this pub are smooth session beer, this one is by far the most intense I had there. Lacks a bit in the aromatic hops department but it is still a nice IIPA. This was my last of too many beers at this pub. Don’t worry, my sober girlfriend drove us back to the hotel. But what Mothers Against Drunk Driving didn’t count on is my girlfriend natural ability to run people over when sober.
