On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear brown with a slight amber hue and a light brown head that dissipated completely. Aroma had a nutty bread note with some backing sweet toffee. Flavor was similar with some nut and bread notes with sweetness from a toffee note. Nicely balanced.

In short: A bland lifeless sweet amber ale.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear amber-brown body topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: Time nose of sweet malts. Taste is water toffee, light toasted bread crust notes. Lifeless body with a lacking carbonation. Nothing nutty about this “Nut” Brown ale. I lack the words to describe its taste. Or maybe it lacks a taste to be described with words.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep clear brown, thin white head. Caramel, toffee, tea. Medium body, good carbonation. Light coffee and toasted malts. Light and balanced bitterness. Nice brown.

1st rater, sampler @ brewpub. A very well done Brown Ale, not always easy to say. Color is dark but clear brown. Aroma is wet leaves and wood. Flavor is clean and earthy. Not special but well executed.
