Pale yellow beer that was slightly skunky, but overall it was refreshing and served its purpose on a beach in Grand Cayman.

This pale, watery beer is a typical caribbean lager.... actually a lesser example. Bland and unremarkable. worth trying if it comes your way, but by no means worth any sort of effort to obtain.

Served from a 12 oz bottle while in George Town, Cayman Island on the honeymoon cruise. The appearance is bright gold. The aromas and flavors are cereal and malt with a certain dryness. Ehh.

So I bought this and then realized you cant even really see the Cayman Islands on the world map. Anyway, golden yellow, spotty floaties, weird, white cover. Aroma is skunky, corny, typical lager. Taste is metal, thick corn, sweet, syrupy.

The Caymans were great, the beer not so much. Pretty much standard pale lager here, with grainy notes and a certain skunkiness. Not the best, but at least it was consumed in a nice place.

Poures a light golden yellow. This beer is as light in taste as its color. Tastes of corn and a little metal almost like a really watered down lager.

Got this on a trip down to Grand Cayman. Beer is pretty expensive down there, but most places serve this on tap pretty cheap. Not a real good beer, but there’s worse.

The aroma is soapy, skunky, corny and chemical like. The appearance is the one thing this beer has going for it. It has a nice large foamy head and a golden color. The flavor is like the aroma with lots of bitter grass from start to finish. The palate is thin but refreshing. The beer overall is not worth drinking.

so the story first. had a family member going to the cayman islands on a cruise and asked me if there was anything they could bring back. having read an article about this brewery i said sure bring back a six pack of caybrew for me if you see it. it was bought in the rum distributer off the boat and was already two months past the bb. date on the bottom of the can, not a good start for a new brewery.

review: poured a light golden in color with streaming carbonation on the pour and a half inch of white froth that disappeared immediately. aroma has grains, sweet malt, and very light hops that may be the product of me looking for them. mouth feel is watery with little carbonation that could have helped this along a bit. flavor is sweet malt with some grains, very watery, and has some staleness. brewery had its first beer produced in march 2007 and if i am already buying stale outdated beer this is not a good sign for these guys. also of note the six pack cost was a little under 10.00$ making it real steep. hope someone from the brewery reads this stuff because this is not going to lead to there success.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a large frothy white head. Aroma is mostly hop. Tastes of cardboard and straw. Palate is mostly watery and bland.
