"A true seasonal beer, as refreshing as it should be! Taste it in the summer, sitting at a terrace table … " Originally, season beer was a beer brewed before the summer and intended for summer-season farmhands. It had low alcohol content and a marked bitterness that made it really refreshing. We wanted to offer a truly seasonal Season with production limited in time. As Laurent Agache’s

Bottle from the Swan and Rushes, Leicester. Golden, with nice white head - looks great. Fizzy. Smells yeasty brother. Flavour is dry, with bread, some sugar and perhaps a hint of the elderflowers which are noted on the label. Well balanced, easy to drink. Full, hard, tart finish.

On tap at Moeder Lambik. Hazy gold body with medium head. Nose is hoppy and slightly sour. Taste is yummy of hops and pines. Plenty of ABV. Tasty!

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Pale golden, lasting white head. Malty grassy aroma. Malty flavor, bready, some spices. I miss some of the things I want from a saison.

Light and tasty. I really dig these lower ABV saisons, and this one had a good mix of floral notes and herbal notes. The second pour yields a little bit more yeast, and the flavor is a little bit fruitier. Good stuff.

Draught at  Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Rocky iceberg head on a bright gold beer. Citric, lactic, sourish nose, with yogurt, lemon, spice. Dry, dusty flavor of old lemons. Bitter, spur, and dry. Why? Bretty. Interesting but somehow strange.

A light straw-colored pour. Huge white head, with a mixture of small and very large bubbles. Plenty of ringing lacing as the head slowly fades. Big floral bouquet. Mix that with malt and wheat and you have a decent aroma. There is also some hop and citrus notes in the bag. Sweet and very spicy taste. Almost like pepper and flowers mixed together. An herbal taste as well. A carbonic aftertaste, and a slight bitterness. Very good for a flower infused beer.

From notes. Had a sort of off flavor that seemed rubbery. This hurt the beer quite a bit, and I think it was from the elderflowers not quite working with the hops well. A bit too yeasty in the finish. Kind of a musty grain flavor but not bad, really. Some funk.
