Brewed with elderflower.

Saison Cazeau is a light white beer, refermented in the bottle, with 5% alcohol content. As well as the Pilsen malt and two hops which give it a really nice bitter flavour, Saison is laced with elderflowers (Sambucus Nigra L.) which make it really refreshing. The elderflower only blooms for three weeks between mid-May and mid-June, which means that production of our Saison is very time-limited.

Tap. Tiny head. Light straw color. Aromatic, sweet floral syrup. A little sour to start, Bitter end, alcolhol aftertaste. Not bad, but some may say sayonara to this saison.

Nose is dry, yeasty, lots of flower, pepper, some grass. Appearance is classic saison. Taste very floral with the elderflower on the front foot, leading to peach and grass notes. Cereal, and bread evident as well. Finish is a little short, and mouthfeel a touch thin. A session Saison that bores as you progress through it.

Bottle sample at The Festival. Pale yellow pour with white head. Aroma is very farmhouse and rustic, cereal, hay, flowers and grass. Taste has a lot of cereal and grass. Medium bodied and lively carbonation. Feels like an authentic saison.

On tap at Hawthornes in Philly. Pours golden with a fluffy white head. The aroma has a nice lightness to it with floral notes and citrus. Nice and dry, refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice hazy blonde color with a big head and plenty of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is earthy and floral but with no where near the elderflower pungency that was present in Mamouche. Wonderful never the less, lightly fruity with some light damp limestone.

The flavor is spot on for what I look for in a Saison, dry, nicely bitter, with a leafy earthy hoppiness. The floral character comes thorough much stronger in the flavor than the aroma with it’s light hints of black jack chewing gum, again no where near the level obtained in Mamouche but I doubt very much that they were going for that pungency here as the Elderflower is far more harmonized with the earthy, minerally, & bitter flavors presented. Some nice lightly husky malt is fairly subdued but presented nicely.

I could absolutely drink this every single day.

Light gold pour with fluffy white head. Aroma is floral with light cereal grains and yeast. Very effervescent. Flavours the same as the nose.

Aroma of spicy earthiness with a flowery note. Flavor adds a firm bitterness and an almost lemony sour note

chocolate, 750 ml bottle opened at our Pre-TG KB Bottle Fun in Heykevin’s driveway. Cool. Pours a nice well hazed yellow straw hue, mellow glow, with big cakey bright white head. Stays large sized, cakes, laces well. Aromas are richly dry, farmhouse laden with big dry elderflower presence. Green pepper, earth, and rich green presence from it. Earthy, tart, and dry. Touches of bread, straw, mellow yeastiness behind that big elderflower, dry element. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a touch of medium body in the middle. Mellow tartness, earth, and florals. Elderflower is earthy, green pepper. Middle a touch tart, green pepper, green earthy weeds and florals. Touches of bread, straw. Gentle fruity element into the backend. Firm dryness, mellow yeasty spice into the finish. Pretty well put together, dry, big earthy and elderflower presence. Fruit on the nose, gentle breadiness. Nice really well constructed. Dry, small at 4.5% quite crushable. Really nice.
