"A true seasonal beer, as refreshing as it should be! Taste it in the summer, sitting at a terrace table … " Originally, season beer was a beer brewed before the summer and intended for summer-season farmhands. It had low alcohol content and a marked bitterness that made it really refreshing. We wanted to offer a truly seasonal Season with production limited in time. As Laurent Agache’s

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light yellow colour, billowing white head, lots of carbonation. Unusual mixture of a very fizzy and dry beer with the rich sweetness of the elderflower. The whole ended up a tiny bit cloying and less drinkable. Interesting though - I’d have it again but wouldn’t necessarily hunt it down.

Bottle @ home - Color: hazy clear blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: nice saison yeast nose. Floral and grassy balance. Small sweet malt finish. Taste: medium body with superb fruity taste and floral notes. Good attenuation with saison yeast finish. Small astringence finish. Aftertaste: fruity and floral with saison astringence.

A hazy pale apricot color, reminding a bit of a ’new wine’ and a fine, bright white head of good stability are absolutely inviting! A fine aroma hits your nose, offering some hints of brett, a very subtle sweet flowery touch from the sureau flowers and a nice bitterness. The dry bitterness becomes dominant in the taste without taking the freshness of this thirst-quenching brew. The relatively high carbonation together with the fresh taste make this a perfect summer companion. Nicely balanced, clearly brewed, no wonder this is a gold medal winner!

Crisp saison, the elderflower does not give much in terms of added complexity, but still a refreshing beer.

Bottle at home for rating 2222. Hazy light golden with big creamy and fluffy white head, looks like a massive marshmallow on top of my beer, awesome. Nice peppery yeast and some cloves and other spices, light flowery and grassy, a touch of tart lemon, hay, and apple. There’s a light sweet maltbase underneath, but the yeast, flowers and hops are much more in the foreground here. Under medium sweet and bitter with a light tart touch. Medium bodied with over medium carbonation. Good classic saison.
