3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CapFlu (4012) - Victoria, British Columbia, - AUG 13, 2012(33cl bottle) Purchased at Cook Street Liquors on August 10, 2012, for $6.90. Pours a huge, yeasty head and a clouded and highly carbonated body. I was put onto these beers by Alberta’s Hoser and I am glad he did. This beer is a strong reminder of one of my favourite Belgian Ales - SAXO. It is well malted, has an overwhelming yeastiness and fruity effervescence. Its a damn fine beer... only a few shades behind Saxo.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 solidfunk (1820) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 10, 2013
Pretty nice. Initial aroma of beers. Pours cloudy blond with fuzzy head, very lively carbonation. Aftertaste bitter and sour. Some florals in aroma. Well balanced light Belgian beer. Bottle.

Légère pétillance, assez maltée, plutôt douce avec un léger retour houblonné, finale très légèrement sucrée
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cybercat (2464) - Georgia, USA - APR 17, 2013
Strong, yeasty flavor has malty and fruity underpinnings. Pours a hazy solar yellow with a fairly thick and fluffy dirty white head. Flavor is strongly fruity, mainly pear with subtle banana and apple notes, with some malt and yeast in attendance as well. Texture has good fizz, but comes across as on the thin side. A good drink nonetheless.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jabbeloo (68) - Denderbelle, BELGIUM - APR 13, 2013
Amber blond old gold coloured beer with thin foam head. We tasted the 75cl bottle. The beer has a great malty start and a hoppy bitter finish the aftertaste is bitter long and dry.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 bartlebier (464) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - MAR 24, 2013
Draught@Festival Brassicole Tournai 2012. - strangely oldfashioned new take on a wallonian strong ale: floral, sweetish, with subserving hop bitterness, oily palate and a whole bunch of unnecessary spice coming in to play with more welcome straightforward natural flavours. Hence, too much of a good thing and average.

33cl bottle, several months past best by date but none the worse for it as far as I can tell. Labe says 7% ABV.
This Tournay pours a slightly hazy (it’s bottle-conditioned) amber body with an oversized creamy off-white head. The head holds up exceptionally well and leaves remarkable walls of creamy lace on the glass.
The nose is a gentle mix of bready malts and largely citrus fruit. Hints of grassy, herbal and floral hops.
The flavor is mildly sweet, with some tartness and bitterness. There’s more hop flavor than the nose suggests, at least by the finish. Floral, grassy and spicy notes linger with the biscuity malt in lingering aftertaste.
M: Nicely smooth, with a dry, light finish. Satisfying near-medium body.
O: Adequately complex with a fruity and floral heart. With a fine mouthfeel and great look, it is also easy to drink given the 7% ABV. More like a Belgian PA than a tripel. Certainly worth trying.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 WheatKing (703) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 4, 2013
Huh... for a Belgian Ale of 6.7% this is good, don’t get me wrong, but it’s also quite plain to me. The best part about it was the huge head and spiderwebs. The actual beer reminded me of an English blonde, but drier, with a small amount of spice. Fairly fruity, no tartness for me, I think if this were made by a brewery in Saskatchewan or Idaho, no one would be exactly batting an eye screaming "Wow tastes just like a real Belgian!", it’d be a "tick beer" if you catch my drift. Maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the continent/ocean today.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Countbeer (2856) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - FEB 2, 2013
Bottle:
Medium to smaller vast white head changes slowly into a thicker lacing on top of a light hazy yellow colored beer.
Smell herbs and spices, some hops, some flowers, some
Taste herbs, honey, hops, hay, flowers, fruits, light bitter, hint of yeast and hint of cardboard and some malts.
Aftertaste is floral crispy and some herby hops.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium bit thin body and a creamy texture.
Not bad but a bit weak though easy drinkable.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a large fluffy head. Aroma is dominated by yeast. Flavour is sweet, yeast with a lemon zest and tangy on the tongue.
