Stefano (1014), Esbjerg, Denmark Dec 21, 2007 Dark brown almost black colour with small brown head. Spicy aroma. Very fruity flavour with notes of coffe and dark chocolate, ends up choco-like and little sour. Ends up very tasty and the alcohol are well hidded indeed. JensenTaster (1485), Denmark Jan 18, 2007 (on bottle)Dark red/brown, steady beige head. Complex aroma of brumbles and fig, along wih strokes of an old tobaccofuniture. Very nive. Allmoste watery, easy drinkable one could say, a bit weak on the alcohol here. The fine carbonation helps the fruity notes to a plesent , allmost port-dry finish giving this saison(?) a few more strings to pla with. goozen (763), Leiden, Netherlands Mar 7, 2007 Bottle at ZBF:Well balanced sweet dark brown ale with fruits, chocolate and some spices in it. Maria (4344), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2007 This Christmas beer is black with a very creamy, nice and lasting head. the aroma and flavour has notes of chocolate, dark fruit, plum, licorice and the flavour has both slight sweetness and bitterness. A very nice beer that makes think of a stout but also of a Belgian abbey beer. I like this one. 1716 Love_Caissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 22, 2006 Bottle. Very deep brown colour with a big brownish head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by roasted malts and a lot of dark fruits (prunes, plums etc.). Dry, medium bitter finish. Great stuff - more people should try this...
