COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Roundness to be enjoyed by the side of an open fire! We wanted to create a more palateful, stronger beer, but without spices, unlike the majority of Christmas beers. The work therefore first of all focused on the selection of the barley malts. We needed a mixture of five different barley malts for obtaining the dark ruby colour and the body that we wanted. Then, we wanted hops that were not too strong, in order to contribute to that typical roundness of winter beers. This is why we have mainly opted for the Slovenian Styrian Golding, not very bitter, but used in great quantity and combined with a little Cascade, for a very fine hopping."

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear brown with a medium but fading tan head and an aroma of sweet malts, ripe red fruits, toffee, milk chocolate and herbs. The taste is mainly malty, not too sweet and with a medium complex spiciness and bitterness. There’s a bit of sourness in the finish. Just a nice beer, but not too special to me.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear dark brown with a big frothy light tan head and a few bubbles. The aroma is yeast, sweet red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a light, slightly watery fruity, light roasty malt, light hop bitter palate. Moderate to light bodied with lively carbonation. A Christmas beer "should" have more body, more fruit, less CO2 and more rich defining flavours. This is not a bad beer, but it’s not what I expect from a Christmas beer.

Flaska 75 cl belgoklubben.

Bottle. (thanks SirLimpsalot) A bit hazy dark red with a medium head. A bit thin and sweet with malt, chocolate, some perfume and light roasted. Nothing special.
