COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tournay Noire is a beer, refermented in the bottle, with an alcohol content of 7,6%. It contains only natural ingredients: water, four malts, two hops, yeast and sugar. We select special malts and very traditional hops to give it a powerful, long flavour in the mouth and a quite a strong hint of bitterness. This is a beer that will really appeal to Stout lovers!!

Draft. A fine, fine stout indeed: velvety foam, terrific smooth body and a delicate oat-ish character. One of my favorite stouts, good to drink at all times, even non-fans of the genre are impressed.

Dark black in color, thick and small head. Nice black stout aroma and flavor. This was truly a thick dark malty brew. Huge flavors.

Tasted this in the Rose Red Cafe, Brugges in April 2012. 33cl bottle. Dull black in colour with a thick light tan coloured head. Long pleasant aroma of bitter chocolate and black coffee. Thick oily mouthfeel and good lacing. Dark malts give a strong roast malt character with plenty of dark bitter chocolate, mocha coffee, liquorice and dry currants. Sharp smokey prickle of earthy hops present in the dry bitter aftertaste. Finish is again dry and malty with liquorice long in the mouth. An excellent stout and well recommended.

33 cl. bottle @ Bier Circus // dark brown going to black with a very café au lait looking head (interesting) // smell reveals it having definitely too much yeast in it, malt, lightly roasted, coffee, plenty of cocoa, light hints of bitter coffee // yeast heavy taste, plenty of cocoa, more than coffee, small hint of liquorish & yeast, dark fruits, roasted malts heavy finish, hint of dark bread, some bitter milk chocolate // body is not very heavy & quite creamy // my boss compared it to Guinness, a cliché but he certainly did have a point, this is much better & less watery than regular Guinness

Pours black with a thin tan ring of foam. Aroma of roasted malts, black licorice, and dark fruits. Sweet flavor. Silky on the tongue with a finish that coats the back of the tongue.

Dark brown beer, clear. Soft palate but decent carbonation underneath. Porter like dark malt with some repressed banana. Finishes dry and minerally. Decent.

33cl bottle @ home. Dark brown color, dark ruby red glow coming through. Medium to full creamy beige to light brown head. Don’t smell much, just some malts and slightly sweet. Taste malts, slightly sweet, also some bitter and raisin. Medium body, medium carbo.

A great Belgian stout... pours a slightly deep burnt umber color with a inch or so of mocha foam that laces out nicely. Great classic bitter chocolate, licorice and coffee lead into and interesting slightly fruity rye finish.
