2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsga (5324) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 9, 2005
Medium white head; pale yellow body. Faint aroma of floral hops and
pale pilsener malts. Faint, but quite nice. Taste is very light and clean, with a very nicely complementing aftertaste that is faintly dry with floral hops. Some very faint metal in the aftertaste. A good pilsener, but could be a bit more assertive. (0.33l bottle.)
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 yngwie (10754) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 4, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2006 Bottle. Pale golden beer. Low carbonation. Not much aroma. Not much taste either, in fact. Nevertheless, it is quite difficult to rate this beer, as it is my local pilsner, the one I grew up with, and my most commonly used (beer)thirst quencher. I hope none of my friends see this rating, as it probably will cause a huge discussion, with me against everyone else. (050904)
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Beer3000 (3713) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2005
I want to start my very first rating with my local beer. But I’m sad to say that this is a very average Norwegian pilsner. Not specially bitter or hoppy but easy drinkable. Nice pale colour and no unpleasant taste, actually hardly any distinctive taste at all complemented with a to short aftertaste. A typical dull Norwegian beer considered as the worlds best beer by 90% of the local population. Sorry!
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Sully (1378) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2004
This one didn’t last the glass. For whatever reason I had a couple of sips and thought that it was notworthy of the whole 330ml. If I was outside it would have been thrown at least a whole nine yards. Thin, watery, adjunct driven Norwegian pils. No Norwegian wood for me from this one.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 jonas (5040) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2004
No aroma.
Pale golden, no head.
Straw flavors, no hops.
thin, watery and boring....
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mads Langtved (2246) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2003
An average pilsener and therefore an above average Norwegian pilsener. Not very bitter nor hoppy.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 omhper (17436) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2002
Pale golden. Slightly crisp, but thin. They should have used more love and less clear source water...
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sigmund (4162) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 10, 2002
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2003 This is a light golden coloured Norwegian pils with a pleasant, fruity (but not very strong) aroma, easily drinkable, too lightly hopped (even for me, who's far from being one of the extreme 'hopheads'), hardly any aftertaste.
