Pours an opaque black with tons of dark brown head and large bubbles. The nose is extremely roasty with a pungent acetone note and some malt sweetness in the back. The flavor is similar, roasted and burnt with magic marker and some malt sweetness in back. The feel is light, thin in back and overly oily and slick and overly carbonated.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of juiceisloose. Pours dark brown in color with a medium creamy beige head. The aroma had a combination of mild sweetness and dark roasted malt. Additional notes of chocolate and some background earthiness. The flavor opens with sweet smooth chocolate and dark roasted malts. The finish has char and moderate bitterness. I didn’t know what to expect with this and was left pretty much neutral after the taste.

Bottle to glass courtesy of Tricyclist in a pretty awesome trade.Has notes of roasty/toasty malts.Definitely picking up lots of coffee notes. It poured an awesome black color with a thin brown head. medium bitterness. Very smooth, almost silky. Love the mouthfeel. I think I was a little disappointed in the flavor and aroma after the pour. the pour was very beautiful. I was definitely jacked up, but the experience failed to deliver. I would drink this again to give it another try.

Black, with a thick but fragile brown head. Nice but unexpected fruity aroma, plus some red wine and coffee. Some dark chocolate and vanilla, as well. Flavorwise, I get coffee, wine, some grapey notes, and a dryish finish. Oddly thin bodied, but not in a bad way. Seems like kinda a tropical stout, I suppose. Thanks to my brother for hauling this up from Naples!

Bottle pour ---> tulip. Roasty and sweet malts are the first thing to hit the nose. Some metallic and slight hoppy tones come out next. Light chocolate aroma with a hint of plum or prune. Very faint fruity ester. Poured quite dark with a dark tan head. Solid lacing but quickly dispersing head. Taste is more hop-sided than expected. Some nice lingering roasted malt and hops make this one nice and bitter but not overly so. Light chocolate tones. Somewhat watery mouth-feel. Medium carbonation. Not bad.

Black pour with tan head (a little thin) and good lacing. The amount of aroma is slightly less than expected. Still good though; mostly burnt malt with some chocolate coming through. This beer is a little too watery to be a stout. More like a porter (a thin one at that). The flavor is burnt malt; needs more bitterness AND sweetness. Not a bad beer, it just needs to be more aggressive.

Brown/black pour with tan head and lace. Chocolate with a medium coffee aroma. Sour light roasted malt, medium coffee, light chocolate, and just a hinto warmth. A bit thin with medium carbonation. decent beer.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a haze but fluffs up with a stiff pour. Nose is mild cocoa and coffee. Medium body, some chalk, buzzy with a tang. Taste is weak coffee, thin grape juice, oat, lime peel and smoke.

8/19/11. 22oz bomber. Opaque pitch black pour with a teensy brown head that fades. Plenty of roasty aroma with definite coffee, but a teensy watery. Nice roasty, coffee flavor with milk chocolate and just a touch of tart, but again, it’s a bit watery. Not bad, but could be better.

Pours pitch black with a deep tan head. Smells extremely chocolaty with hints of burnt coffee as it warms. Tastes like bitter cocoa. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and mild mouth-carbonation, CBBC Not Just Some Oatmeal Stout finishes smooth.
