Draft @ FBGBF ’010. Pours hazy deep gold with copper core and off white head to go along with a little bit of spotty lacing. The aroma is faint with just a sense of malts and little else gong on. The taste is kind of refreshing with citrus hops tartness moving into sugary maltiness. I’m not sure what this is but I’m not sure it’s a pale ale.

Cloudy dark orange color bit the brewer said it is usually clear and a bit lighter. Aroma is light, caramel malt and light hops. Flavor is smooth sweet and hop balanced, crisp finish.

cloudy yellow body, served a touch warm to my great pleasure on draught at the brewpub. aroma is of subtle fruit esters that grow stronger throughout the pint: lime/lemon and general ’five alive’ notes. flavor is of cascade esters indlucing some odd weizen like characteristcs of peppery banana. enjoyed another sample of two failed pours (due to keg, not the barkeep) that had sat out for nearly two hours. to this i added 7-8 crystal hop pellets. before long it became ’hop soup’ and undrinkable, but before it did the already present citrus notes became stronger but still fleeting in their subtle way, with an almost british classiness.

Draft @ CBBC. Pours golden with a creamy white head. Nose is of citric, lime hops and some toasted malts. Slightly drying, toasted malts medium-to-low bitterness, round mouthfeel. A bit of lemon fruitiness in the flavor as well. Drinkable slightly off-the-wall APA.

hopscotch (8529) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Draft… Clear straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Not much going on with the aroma – very subtle; muted. Some pale grains and a light note of fuzzy fruit. Medium to full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. The flavor is a bit crazy, unexpected and definitely invited. Very malty and meaty with essences of fruits as yet unidentified. Finishes crisp, fruity and lightly bitter. A hefty dose of Pilsener malt is a nice, unconventional touch.
