Pours a crystal clear gold with a rocky white head with good retention. Aromas of grainy sweet malt and some earthy/herby hops. Flavor is grainy-sweet cracker-like malts upfront with a solid earthy hop bitterness to finish. Medium light body, high carbonation. Still my favorite local pilsner.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2013 Excellent Pilsner although I’m not a big Pilsner drinker. The aroma is ok. The beer has a low to medium body. You can taste the hop bitterness throughout, but much more at the end. Leaves you wanting another sip.

A very nice birthday gift from CBC’s brewer Wolfgang. Even though Lager is not my favorite style. But this one for sure is one of the better Lagers.

Bottle. Pours brilliantly clear with a decent, lasting head/good lacing. Pleasant noble hop aroma - piney, grassy, spicy with a slight fruitiness. Assertive woody, grassy, slightly fruity hop flavour giving way to solid malt flavours and finishing quite dry. Fairly high carbonation clearing the palate. Overall - Well balanced and highly drinkable.

Draft at Beerhouse. Crystal clear golden color, fluffy white head. Aroma of subtle pepper and freshly cut hay. Taste is clean, crisp, lightly peppery, quick finish. Very tasty.

Labeled CBC Classic lager, 44 cl bottle. Clear light golden, nice lasting white head. Some light hops in aroma, a bit sugary, some herb, very light caramel notes. Taste has nice maltiness, hay, a bit sweet, butterscotch note. Nice fullness in palate, high carbonation.

Beautiful color and nice crown. Aroma containing butterscotch, honney, and grassy notes. Nice, clean taste. A bit soft and sticky on the palate, and the aftertaste is very short, although some bitterness still lingers.
