Mooi volle afdronk. Tikkeltje te zoet

Bottle: If this cider could gush, it would have done so, but due to the lively and fizzy carbo foam it didn’t came much further than the neck. Luckily. Just like the other Reflets de France this cider has a lively and fizzy medium sized white foamy head on top of a 99% clear yellow colored cider. Aromas of apples and apple juice, some spices, light smoked herbal touch, fermented apples, some cellared apples and dusty apple juice, earth, clay, light wood and some light fermenting sweets... Flavours of dust, dry, herbs from the cellar, yeast, ferment, dusty and sandy apples and apple peel, light malty/nutty and dry apple floral. Bit dry and spiced apple juice. Aftertaste is stronger than the Doux version. A mix of fermented apples, dry, yeasty, more spices while not spicy (probably a mix of the fermentation and alcohol), some green apples and light dust apple peel. Medium carbo, sparkling and light spicy and dry mouthfeel, medium bodied and a light watery dry texture. This one is a bit stronger and has more flavours to discover than the Doux version. Also a lot dryer. Not sure if this one is better...

Pours a golden brown and clear. Aroma of sweet woodyness. Flavour is a refreshing medium dry apple, with a lingering dry, sweet aftertaste. Nice if not overwhelming.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A more or less clear, golden cider with some white bubble formation. Apples, mashed apples, hints of sulphur and autumn orchard on the nose. The flavor has mealy apples and just a tad acidic flavor. Medium body with a decent astringency. Not very challenging and easy drinkable. 090822
